Catharine Holmes Jones scrapbooks, 1905-1912.

Scrapbook One contains materials dating from 1907 to 1911. It is a published blank book with printed page headings throughout, titled, The Girl Graduate: Her Own Book. It contains photographs, correspondence, invitations, event programs, tickets, newspaper clippings, ribbon, as well as an Adelphian poem, a college song, her 1911 Marshal regalia and other memorabilia. Scrapbook Two contains materials dating from 1905 to 1912. It is a black bound book titled, Photographs and has black pages. It contains photographs featuring campus buildings, dorm rooms, faculty, and student life. The majority of the persons and places photographed are labeled.

Catharine Holmes Jones of Durham County, North Carolina was a student of the State Normal and Industrial College (now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro), graduating in 1911. Jones was a member of the Adelphian Society and was a Marshal in 1910. She presented her Representative Essay on The Commission Form of Government.
